- Adult growth hormone deficiency from pituitary or hypothalamic disease, surgery, radiation or trauma
- Long-standing growth hormone deficiency that persists into adulthood
- HIV-associated wasting or cachexia, for products approved for that use
- Short bowel syndrome, for products approved for that use
